Single Download Achieved!

I have absolutely fantastic news to announce (kind of)! Unfortunately it isn't artist related, as the artist has still not made any progress on the art I have paid them for.

Instead the news is that there is no longer a requirement for third party software to run N.i.P. and enjoy its graphics (On Windows)! Instead, the download (now a bit beefier, though that was unavoidable) comes with an exe file now that will allow you to launch the game. This is thanks to the magical wonder of Lectrote, which enabled me to make this wonderful thing possible. As such, the download and install instructions have been updated accordingly! A big thanks to the interactive fiction community as well in doing most of the work in trying to figure this out.

The version is now also 1.8.98, I'm not sure what I added or changed between .95 and .98 - but enjoy whatever additions those were - and let me know if there are any bugs or issues with the new system. Do note, the old hard-save and hard-load system needs to be done through a slightly cumbersome method now, as it won't work through the exe - refer to the readme.txt on how to update older saves to the newer version.

Further, since there is cause for an update at the moment, I wanted to go ahead and made an announcement here that I made on the Discord. I have recently gotten an interest in looking towards trying to translate N.i.P. into Chinese (likely Mandarin) and/or Japanese. I do not speak either of these languages, however, and I don't want to use non-sapient means to translate the game. I'd very much like to see if there is a lot of interest in trying to help translate the game into either of those languages by those that feel confident! I think it'd go a long way to growing the community and helping bring the game to new people.
