1.9 Update!
Update 1.9 is here, and with it many good things! The reception to the game getting ported to a version that can run from an exe was pretty big, so I went all out on adding even more content and long-requested features!
Changelog:
- Fixed a bug that would sometimes cause fleeing a boss fight to reset all bosses.
- Added an anti-frustration feature. Now when Nal loses a fight, the game will not end - it will instead resume from before the fight. Let me know if this system causes any issues. Right now the only issue is that assaults and orgasms will still carry over from lost fights.
- Added a new enemy (found within the second half of the game) in the form of a cameo from #Bandana (the artist that generously did the animated art found at the start of the game), with unique scenes leading up to the fight as well as full scenes for the fight. This enemy can be fought on existing saves, though its possible you might miss out on some of the prior scenes. This new enemy should be fairly easy to find, and can be fought after Jewel has been beaten. This brings the total number of enemies up to 43, and a reminder for folks that every single enemy you can fight has battle-grapple scenes and unique defeat scenes.
- Edited the description of a puzzle area in the third (secret) half of the game to make it more clear.
- Added achievements! There are 15 in total tied to progression and secrets.
Aside from that, I must unfortunately say that the artist I paid over a year ago has still not finished what they were paid for. Given that, I'm going to be trying to look for a new artist.
While I am open to offers for artists, bear in mind that this game - N.i.P. - has quite a lot of scenes compared to a lot of other similar games, sitting at somewhere over 270 from just the 'direct' erotic scenes alone. These scenes mostly involve more than one critter and/or background details and would also entail me needing full rights to the art to include them in the game. The price from the artist that did not deliver was affordably cheap, and even then I would've had trouble affording all art for the game. I cannot guarantee I can afford anyone else that can offer to do things, but I'll try.
I am also still looking for volunteer translators, as outlined in the last update. If you want to help translate N.i.P. into Chinese or Japanese - feel free to try to help out and join the Discord!

nice to see you seem optimistic on the games prospects.
on the artist bit, only thing i would beg is to use something like an escrow service this time if you can. mostly to avoid a repeat on the artist mess from last time. its mostly used for retail/properties but there are some that handle smaller sums, might have to get generic 'payment is for graphic design for a commercial product' kinda thing.
I will definitely be far less lenient about timescales if I can find a replacement.
