In N.i.P. (Short for Nal in Peril), you play as an Avali named Nal who has to make their way off of a ship infested with parasitic tentacled lifeforms that seem undeterred by a lack of willingness. The game has a fairly good sized amount of content divided into two parts, and should suffice to entertain those that are into a more diverse range of things (but especially tentacles) and avians.

This game contains a gratuitous amount of tentacles shoved into a relatively short space in its first half and a variety of hypno-themed kinks in the second. In total the full version of the game contains over 42 unique enemies with battle-grapple and game-over scenes (Over 270+ in total!), two major areas to explore that each have multiple sub-areas and a post-game, hidden secrets to unlock, a dozen or so scattered scenes, a basic corruption system in the second half of the game, four different and unique endings, and much much more!

Currently it is fully text-based only aside from a few things. I don't have even a percentage of the money required to hire an artist for even sketches as things stand now (support for the game could change that!). The game is also coded in the Inform Engine, as I don't have the coding skills to make the game in some other software! I urge you to not let either of these things deter you, as the game has had a lot of effort put into it. Additionally it has some features that require the download of a third party software called Gargoyle to fully enjoy, please check the Readme.txt included in the download or the download instructions for details!

Also, while suggestions are welcome, I'm limited by the amount of support the game gets in what I can add. I've put a lot of time and effort into making sure that the project still has a lot packed into it. I will, however, try to at least respond to ideas presented as suggestions. And, of course, I will also be more than willing to fix bugs (though it should be bug free!). You can most easily give feedback on the Discord server for the game! Also if you are considering donating to the game, donations can be done through my Subscribestar or Ko-Fi in addition to purchasing through itch.

I am not the owner or creator of the Avali.  All credit for them goes to RyuujinZERO who has them CC BY-SA! I merely wanted to include them in this project due to their cuteness. So again, thanks and credit to RyuujinZERO, who is the person who made and owns the rights to the Avali species! Highly recommend checking her out, as well as the numerous art and lore of the Avali, and fanworks of them!

Artwork provided by #Bandana and Jim/Mama Sheep! The former of which did the art currently found at the top of the page and at the start of the game, and the latter of which did the status images and grapple scenes!

Like this project? Support it!

I put a lot of work into this game, showing some support here on itch through a purchase, or through donations on my Subscribestar or Ko-Fi would be greatly appreciated! More support means more content added, and that you get to experience said content!

Out of curiosity, is there an android version (or port maybe? I'm not technical) planned?

I'm not sure if Gargoyle runs on android, and the other interpreter I know for it doesn't display images if I recall.

You can use Fabularium to play it on android.

Works good for me

i notice theres been a few quiet updates... bugfixes perhaps? also thanks for the gallery additon. not made it there yet because the code import failed but workin on it.

(+1)

Yeah, just small bugfixes - didn't want to make a new post for each one since I had only made the normal post like 10 or so hours prior.

As for the code import, do you mean the old method I said I had to abandon because it wasn't working or the 'hardsave' method that makes a file? The file one should work, though the code one is completely broken and doesn't save variables correctly for some reason.

was meaning the code one, almost back to where i was though so no probs hear

Starbound ты ли это ? )))

Is there a possibility of a discord or any other sort of ground being made to help follow the game community wise?

(1 edit)

There has been a Discord for a very long time now, the link to which can be found in the game in the about section and in previous update posts here! Please let me know if it isn't working.

I know how important this game is to the creator! They put a lot of passion and effort into this, don’t be shy and tell them how much you love their work! 💜

just wondering after fighting the assistent drone and reading the post battle text that occours about nal having to fight to keep from fingering their slit, was there orgionaly plans for a lingering effect of somesort?

(+1)

Inter-battle effects would be extremely hard to code within Inform, so it was just meant as an extra little bit to put at the end of that battle should Nal succumb to the drone in the fight itself.

Maybe in the future, though I could try to do something with it.

thanks for the reply,  and that would be neat... but like you said would be hard to do well in inform... would be neat if you could pull off hypno effects... but how would such a thing even work mechanicly, would nal be grappling themself every so often like the enemys do? or would it be easier to instead have it spawn an invisable enemy to simulate it that takes damage from struggles and has low hp?

(+2)

I'm not sure if any of that is possible either. Bear in mind that Inform as an engine has nothing built into it as far as templates or the like. All the RPG mechanics I had to make myself from scratch - this isn't like RPGmaker. Multiple enemies are certainly not programmed in.
