That Avali tentacle porn game.

In N.i.P. (Short for Nal in Peril), you play as an Avali named Nal who has to make their way off of a ship infested with parasitic tentacled lifeforms that seem undeterred by a lack of willingness. The game has a fairly good sized amount of content divided into two parts, and should suffice to entertain those that are into a more diverse range of things (but especially tentacles) and avians.

This game contains a gratuitous amount of tentacles shoved into a relatively short space in its first half and a variety of hypno-themed kinks in the second. In total the full version of the game contains over 43 unique enemies with battle-grapple and game-over scenes (Over 270+ in total!), two major areas to explore that each have multiple sub-areas and a post-game, hidden secrets to unlock, a dozen or so scattered scenes, a basic corruption system in the second half of the game, four different and unique endings, and much much more!

Currently it is fully text-based, with a few scenes containing 2d graphics. An artist was hired to do artwork, however the process has been slow - though I'm hoping to be able to add in finished art as it gets completed. The game is also coded in the Inform Engine, as I don't have the coding skills to make the game in some other software! I urge you to not let either of these things deter you, as the game has had a lot of effort put into it. Additionally it has some features that require the download of a third party software called Gargoyle to fully enjoy, please check the Readme.txt included in the download or the download instructions for details! Thanks to the interactive fiction community, I've found a way to release the game as one single download!

Also, while suggestions are welcome, I'm limited by the amount of support the game gets in what I can add. I've put a lot of time and effort into making sure that the project still has a lot packed into it. I will, however, try to at least respond to ideas presented as suggestions. And, of course, I will also be more than willing to fix bugs (though it should be bug free!). You can most easily give feedback on the Discord server for the game! Also if you are considering supporting my projects more broadly, donations can be done through my Subscribestar or Ko-Fi in addition to purchasing through itch.

I am not the owner or creator of the Avali.  All credit for them goes to RyuujinZERO who has them CC BY-SA! I merely wanted to include them in this project due to their cuteness. So again, thanks and credit to RyuujinZERO, who is the person who made and owns the rights to the Avali species! Highly recommend checking her out, as well as the numerous art and lore of the Avali, and fanworks of them!

Artwork provided by #Bandana and Jim/Mama Sheep! The former of which did the art currently found at the top of the page and at the start of the game, and the latter of which did the status images and grapple scenes!

Game itself written and coded by me using the Inform7 Engine. All writing and coding was provided by myself.

Like this project? Support it!

I put a lot of work into this game, showing some support here on itch through a purchase, or through donations on my Subscribestar or Ko-Fi would be greatly appreciated! More support means more content added, and that you get to experience said content!

Will there be a Steam Release sense its a $6 game?
If so i would love to buy it there rather then here

Likely not, unless something substantive happens. If it ever one day gets remade in a medium that steam would accept, I'd of course continue to go above and beyond by making sure every single person that bought it here also got a free key there.

i was wondering  when the update will be posted here

The WIP one? I was trying to hold out for art, but the artist is pretty hardcore on making sure I just never get what I paid for - so likely Wednesday.

how do i save my game?

There should be an option to save in the bottom menu that shows Save || Restore Save/Load - side by side. Is that option not working for you?

it not working for me

Can you tell me what is happening when you press save?

To state: What should happen is it should open a window where you can save your game - you have to name your save after selecting your folder and then hit save.

i name it gg and create a new folder called save when i open the folder to save it nothing happens and say save fail

Well, this game is gently missing a translator.

More than happy to try to work with someone to make a translation happen!

Wonderful update~

Thanks~

Very happy to see an update

Glad you enjoy! ^.^

I played the earlier test builds of this, and am quite happy to see it's still being maintained- when the artist permits, eheh- I still occasionally recommend this game to folks looking for 'spicy' games featuring Avali.

It's well written, fair but challenging and kinky- but last I played, could technically be beaten without engaging with anything sexually.

Very well put together overall, hope things keep working out for you, and I look forward to any future projects~

(+1)

I quite appreciate it, I've certainly got hopes for the artist finishing the art I've paid for them and continuing to at least get the defeat scenes for the enemies out.

Very glad you like the game over all though! ^.^ I certainly have other projects as well, though I have no idea how long it'll be before they move to itch.

(+1)

hey whats the situation with the art its been awhile and not a peep just if something is happening

(+1)

Artist is slow, sometimes unresponsive. There isn't really anything I can do on my end, and I can't afford a different artist.

Ask for a partial refund until they start becoming more responsive and sending you the artwork you paid for.  I am sorry, but it sounds like a bit too long you have been waiting for no real progress from them.

Lack of communication is a big red flag to me, even if the finished product might be good, its alot of money to basically throw and possibly not see anything come out of it.

I've been dealing with some similar stuff for a comic I commissioned, and I am about to just ask for a refund so I can either get my money back from it or put it towards another artist to do it for me.  This stuff ain't cheap, I have waited almost a year and only have one page for my comic so far and I am already kinda concerned about it.  And I had already done a comic from them before, and it took about a year for that one altogether.

Hope this game isn't abandoned! This game is sick, hoping there will be more at some point

last i rembember its bottlenecked by the artist still... and they are working on a new project. i dont think this is abandoned but i do think its for the most part barring art complete... hope we get the other images because the description of the assisstent drone scene sounds nice.

(+2)

Correct. Just waiting on art, presently. I am not really sure what to do to speed up this end of things, as the artist has been paid in advance and has delivered on at least some things that were bought.

all i can sugest is mabye give em a poke? sometimes people can get so burried in work they forget.

(+1)

Have done so rather frequently.

(+1)

Love this game

Thank you~ It means quite a lot to hear you say that~ <3

(+1)(-1)

there will be more art?

(+3)

Indeed, a bit more at least. I already paid for some more art to be made, am just waiting on the artist.

I am grateful for your answer

is the game still in the works or did somthing happind ? i see you havin talk about it in 6 months is why im asking

Join the Discord, I have posted more announcements there. That said, been silent for about the past few weeks because of helene.

fare and i hope every thing is ok for you

i can't play the game it's not letting m

to go off the last one it's saying i need to download itcy cave

You shouldn't need to download anything called that. Are you sure you followed the instructions correctly as far as how to get it working?

that's the thing i don't know how t

and when i ever try to use the link's it still does not work

To be clear, there should be instructions that link to https://github.com/garglk/garglk/releases and prompt you to download it. Then you open the program, select the .gblorb file from NIP, called NIP.gblorb, and then open it through Gargoyle. There isn't anything in any of these files or programs called 'icy cave' that you then need to also download.

Out of curiosity, is there an android version (or port maybe? I'm not technical) planned?

I'm not sure if Gargoyle runs on android, and the other interpreter I know for it doesn't display images if I recall.

(+1)

You can use Fabularium to play it on android.

Works good for me

I guess I'm just not good at this. I never got it to work

Yeah, gargoyle isgoing to work better than mobile apps anyhow.

i notice theres been a few quiet updates... bugfixes perhaps? also thanks for the gallery additon. not made it there yet because the code import failed but workin on it.

(+1)

Yeah, just small bugfixes - didn't want to make a new post for each one since I had only made the normal post like 10 or so hours prior.

As for the code import, do you mean the old method I said I had to abandon because it wasn't working or the 'hardsave' method that makes a file? The file one should work, though the code one is completely broken and doesn't save variables correctly for some reason.

was meaning the code one, almost back to where i was though so no probs hear

Starbound ты ли это ? )))

Is there a possibility of a discord or any other sort of ground being made to help follow the game community wise?

(1 edit)

There has been a Discord for a very long time now, the link to which can be found in the game in the about section and in previous update posts here! Please let me know if it isn't working.

(+2)

I know how important this game is to the creator! They put a lot of passion and effort into this, don’t be shy and tell them how much you love their work! 💜

just wondering after fighting the assistent drone and reading the post battle text that occours about nal having to fight to keep from fingering their slit, was there orgionaly plans for a lingering effect of somesort?

(+1)

Inter-battle effects would be extremely hard to code within Inform, so it was just meant as an extra little bit to put at the end of that battle should Nal succumb to the drone in the fight itself.

Maybe in the future, though I could try to do something with it.

thanks for the reply,  and that would be neat... but like you said would be hard to do well in inform... would be neat if you could pull off hypno effects... but how would such a thing even work mechanicly, would nal be grappling themself every so often like the enemys do? or would it be easier to instead have it spawn an invisable enemy to simulate it that takes damage from struggles and has low hp?

(+2)(-1)

I'm not sure if any of that is possible either. Bear in mind that Inform as an engine has nothing built into it as far as templates or the like. All the RPG mechanics I had to make myself from scratch - this isn't like RPGmaker. Multiple enemies are certainly not programmed in.
