Inter-Version Saving!

I have managed to work around Inform's insistence that saves between different versions of the game can't happen. Apologies that it took so long, but the prior system that I was working with didn't work. The code kept breaking, or sometimes wouldn't fire the correct variables. Instead, I've had to make a completely new system - one that even works with the DEMO*.

I kept the code input in just in case people want to use it, though it is broken and so I can't support any bugs with it - only bugs with the new save system. You can use the prior post to try to manufacture the code based on your current progress, though you won't be able to import things that the new save system can import such as enemies beaten, exp, etc.

Let me know what folks think, and keep on the lookout for more artwork coming in the future! The new feature can be found in the Stats screen in-game! I would still recommend using the save/restore system while using the same version of the game, however - and only using these 'hardsaves' to move between versions.

The only other change with this version is the addition of a gallery at the end of the game, once you beat Jewel. It should list every single enemy you can fight, allowing you to fight and see the scenes of all 42 enemies! Note that these work like regular battles currently, in the future I might add in a way to just see the scenes themselves.

*There are instructions in the DEMO itself, you have to do some editing manually - though it should be 100% doable by most anyone.

Also Itch did something kind of weird when I went to update the DEMO, so if the download is broken for folks - please let me know.

Finally; I feel that I have gone above and beyond time and time again to add new features and content to the game. While I can't add everything people ask (or sometimes demand), I have striven, as a solo dev, to provide a game that has been given my all as I work towards providing a quality product.

So again, if you like the game and derive any enjoyment out of it - please leave a positive review here on itch. It helps a lot, and lets me know that putting effort into things like this is worth it.

Edit: I also edited some puzzle descriptions that were wrong - thank you to the folks that pointed this out!
