1.8.6 Update!


This is another absolutely massive update, and marks the game having nearly quintupled in content since its original form. I have been hard at work on this, and hope that it is what is needed to see this game take off even more! I even went above and beyond in adding artwork of my own to the game, subject to replacement as funds allow and only for a few of the enemies (specifically the less than humanoid ones).


I really hope people enjoy! ^.^



Changelog:

- 8 new fully unique enemies found in a 'third' second of the game; four random encounters and four bosses. These areas also contain encounters from previous decks (and one from the first half of the game) to help them from feeling less full. As is the standard each of these new enemies has full game over and grapple scenes. This brings the total number of enemies in the game to 42! -


- As mentioned, another area of the game meant meant to be accessed in the post-game, once Jewel is defeated. It is comprised of four small new areas for each of the main decks in the second half of the game and each can be arrived at in much the same way once the post-game is reached. -


- Two new endings for the post-game, one good ending and one bad ending. This brings the total number of endings up to four! -


- Level cap has been raised yet again, this time to try to make some of the post-game content easier for when it is reached. If balance is still off, please let me know! -


- Multiple bug fixes, typo corrections, and other small tweaks to ensure a quality experience throughout the rest of the game. -


- Replaced some of the concept art with new art made by myself, as well as having made art for some small number of enemies beyond those that had concept art. Note: All art and designs are subject to revision and change and there are also no humanoids that I have done art for. -

- Spruced up some artwork by having a colorful border around it, as well as a 'digital-like' overlay over it. Let me know what people think. If people enjoy it, I can perhaps add something similar to the maps so that they are not so bland. -


The game should be bug free, however its possible one or two related to the new update slipped through the cracks. Everything has to be tested by hand, and different mediums can sometimes provide different results. Please let me know if you encounter any issues in the new content so that I can get on fixing them!


Another note on the pixel art added as well: again, it was made in an attempt to add a little bit more to the game. While I couldn't make pixel art for all enemies, hopefully one day I will be able to afford to hire an artist on to make artwork for at least that. For the border, it was just an idea to help the visuals blend in a little more with the otherwise bland background. I am open to feedback on it, as well as the possibility of adding it to the maps as well to help spruce those up and hopefully make them a little more wieldy.
